And it’s just not that worth it in my opinion. His Mighty state requires more food and the Adventure mode kinda lacks it. Honestly, I might be biased on this, because I don’t really like Wolfgang that much but him being afraid of monsters and dark is going to make issues along the way. His damage will be 0.75x to 0.5x, depending on hunger. His maximum health goes down to 150 and his movement speed decreases by 10%. The third and last state is Wolfgang’s Wimpy State, which occurs on 100 hunger and less. However, because of this state, his hunger will decrease quicker than in the regular state. His maximum health will go from 200 to 300, his damage will increase between 1.25x to 2x and he will also receive a 25% movement speed boost. His stronger form is his Mighty form, which will be activated after his hunger exceeds 225 points. He has 200 health and will stay in this form while his hunger is between 100 and 225. Disadvantage – Fear from monsters and the dark.Overall, Wendy isn’t the best choice and, in my opinion, has to take this 10th place. That can be tricky while fighting MacTusk and his hounds, as you have to deal with them pretty quickly – and taking more hits to kill them doesn’t help at all. Her biggest disadvantage is that she has a 25% damage reduction making her one of the worst characters for combat. Her reduced sanity loss can be helpful especially during the fifth chapter, Darkness. Her sister is a good use for fighting mobs, such as spiders and bees, and can even be a good distraction to pass through the Guardian pigs. Wendy is not a character I would choose for my personal playthroughs because she is more of a passive player and I like the active gameplay. Telltale hearts could not be used, however, unfortunately. In fact, because of this, meat effigies could perhaps give a health penalty to your max health until you use one up! This would be glorious! Touchstones could then work a bit more like single player (you having to activate them and then resurrect with them instantly if you die) and the same case would be with the life-giving amulets you needing to wear one to resurrect! And of course the same being with meat effigies. I would like ways to resurrect for us so that we could keep the progress. You lose all of the recipes you've crafted! This means that the blueprint for bundling wraps for you is lost. And if you die in the ruins or something, then you really have this as a huge issue, my friend. There is a huge penalty late-game for dying. Or for pure singleplayer, if you still want character-specific stuff, but want to be someone else entirely. It's only use tbh is anti-spawncamping on PvP and other competitive modes.

This is good for, if, say, you're new, and you started playing as Wes and for some strange reason no longer want to be God incarnate and pick another character. What I do like, is the random spawn, and the ability to change character. It also removes any punishment of death, besides losing your map progress, but you can now just make backups of your map so its no big deal. What I don't like about wilderness is you can generate endless papyrus/meat/nightmare fuel/willow lighters/bernies just by getting charlie'd every night. Especially with the map base item which would allow me to reveal the map quickly after any character changes. I'm tempted to do this, but haven't yet because it feels like an exploit rather than a play style. I typically play alone, so I usually only get the benefits of a single character. Maybe switch to Webber to design a nice spider area and stock up on hundreds of webs in short order. For example I could start as Wickerbottom, get a base set up and lots of farming done, set up tentacles to take out Bee Queen, and then switch to Wolfgang or Wigfrid for regular play. I've considered playing the Wilderness lately so that I could exploit the benefits of different characters. I feel these should be able to be activated to still give a chance at being saved, but in the DS manner rather than in the DST manner. The reason I don't play it is that you can't use any res items to prevent death as you can in traditional DS, such as touch stones / meat effigies / life giving amulets. I feel it gives a more authentic DS experience in DST. The reason I ask is that I've liked the idea of random spawn location.
